Vintage Playing Cards

December 7, 2009

Check out these fab vintage playing cards…as greeting cards! I particularly love the simplicity of the lettered cards (all of which have different tones of use/dirt which adds a great amount of charm). Also liking the little lifter man–what’s he from, crazy eights?

The vintage cards are secured in photo corners on the front of a blank cream card ( and can be removed for framing or other use). I think they would be great with a loose greeting tie in….like an ‘H’ with an inside that says ‘hurrah, you finally got a job..’ or something similarly chipper. I reckon  you can think of something better…

The handmade greeting cards made from vintage games, including playing cards, bingo counters and 1920’s parlour games,  are made in England by ‘vintage playing cards‘. You can contact them for purchasing details, or find them for sale at the London Anthropologie store.
