A new addition to the ‘to eat’ list is Pizza East in Shoreditch, East London. It’s in the uber trendy Tea Building, home of the Shoreditch House, and is a modern, yet accessible pizzeria with a fantastic interior.
According to their website, “the interior design pays respect to the building’s industrial roots, with concrete walls and exposed beams, pipes and pillars. Fresh contemporary touches, such as leather seating and steel refectory tables, complete the look”.
I love the rustic mix of textures…tiles, wood, industrial lighting but with a warm welcoming effect and not stark and clinical. My favorite touches are the mix and match of lighting sources and the long rustic refectory table with individual seats. I’ll let you know if the reality lives up to the photos!
