A jolly good showing

I think this would be an appropriate time to hold a caption competition…if any pictures deserve one, these do. You’re looking at the sixth annual Chap Olympiad, set in the heart of London in Bloomsbury on Saturday, which sadly I missed.
What kind of events feature in a Chap Olympics you might ask? Well, of course there is the Umbrella Jousting, involving two cyclists attempting to unseat each other using umbrellas. Don’t fear, they also had the protection of reinforced copies of broadsheet newspapers and bowler hats—brilliant! Also on the schedule, was Cucumber Sandwich Discus, ‘Bounders’ and Tug of Hair, which involved a 20ft moustache. But who even needs entertaining events like this when everybody does such a bang up job at getting dressed up! As the 1,000 tickets sold were not enough (people were being turned away at the ‘gate’) it looks like I’m going to have to be on the ball for making it to next years!
